Intellimeter: The Energy Meter

Intellimeter is an Intelligent Energy Metering device. It can measure the energy used e.g. in a house, display the data in it's internal Web Server and also send the Energy Data through the Internet to a remote server for further analysis and also graphical representation through charts. It was designed and created in order to support the EMIR System in the remote data collection (AMR) part through xDSL technology.

Intellimeter device is also integrated with the Sensor Data Syndication System (SDSS) platform for data collection and syndication. Energy Data collected through the Intellimeter Energy Metering device is sent to the SDSS platform. This data can then be delivered to several clients over the Internet as a Web Service using Open Protocols and Standards. The different syndication protocols (XML, RSS, GML, KML, CSV) can support more types of client software and also devices. You can read more about the SDSS here.

Through the internal web server the device can be checked for status, configured for the central server and also give information about the total energy used. The main page from the Internal Web Interface displays the total Energy consumed in WattHours since the meter was installed.
